About
Hi! My name Sarah, I am a Vietnamese-American illustrator based in Austin. My art is inspired by awkward encounters, childhood memories, food, and the celebration of cultures. I love creating art that makes you smile and have a bit of heart to them.

When I'm not making art, I enjoy reading, playing guitar, and being a self proclaimed matcha connoisseur. I'm a member of SCBWI and The Girllustrators (a marvelous group of women illustrators).

✨ I am seeking representation ✨

Get to know me a bit more!
Why do you want to make children's books?
“Most of the old moles I know wish they had listened less to their fears and more to their dreams.”
- Charlie Mackesy
This accurately sums up my reason for pursuing illustration/writing. For years during my free time I created art and it made me happy more than I could ever describe. I decided to take a leap and pursue my dream. I’ve always loved connecting with a young audience, storytelling, and naturally I was drawn to children’s illustrations.
